Can you imagine where we would be if everyone understood how to consider different perspectives?
Sometimes we can get so wrapped up in our feelings, thoughts, beliefs, and goals that we forget others in the world may have different perspectives. An outside perspective can often times bring to light thoughts on an issue that you may have been to close to see.
It’s a common issue in society today. Groups of people are on one side of an issue or another and they get so wrapped up in defending their side of an argument they miss the benefits of the other sides perspective.
Sometimes we may not agree with a different perspective, but looking at an issue from all perspectives allows for a better educated decision. Why not learn something you may not have known before from someone else’s perspective. It doesn’t have to change your opinion in anyway, but with consideration comes understanding.
I think the world needs a little more understanding.
Is there a time that a change of perspective taught you something you didn’t know before?
Do you think you ever would have learned what you did without considering someone else’s perspective?
